Announcement of participation in "COMNEXT 2026"

— Proposing Multifiber optical connection technology to support next-generation data centers and Photonics-Electronics-Convergence—
Hakusan Inc. will be exhibiting at "COMNEXT 4th Next Generation Communication Technology & Solutions Exhibition," which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, December 2nd to Friday, December 4th, 2026.
COMNEXT is a specialized exhibition focusing on next-generation communication technologies and solutions, including Photonics-Electronics-Convergence, optical communication technology, high-frequency technology, network equipment and wiring construction, and local 5G. In 2026, a new "Photonics-Electronics-Convergence World" section will be added, featuring exhibits on silicon photonics, heterogeneous material integration, CPO modules, and more.
At COMNEXT2026, Hakusan will showcase Multifiber optical connection technologies for next-generation optical communications, including data centers, optical transceivers, optical engines, and CPO (Co-Packaged Optics), based on MT Ferrule technology it has cultivated since 1991.

Contents of Hakusan exhibit
At Hakusan booth, we plan to showcase Multifiber optical connection technology that supports next-generation optical networks that are becoming increasingly high-density and miniaturized.
Main exhibits
- MT Ferrule
MT Ferrule are key components in Multifiber optical connections. Hakusan has been working on MT Ferrule development since 1991, and based on the technology it has cultivated over many years, it proposes Multifiber, high-density optical connections. - MMC connector / T MT Ferrule
Based on MT Ferrule technology, this is a miniaturized Multifiber optical connection solution that achieves approximately three times the port density compared to conventional MPO connectors. - CMF® (Ceramic Multifiber Ferrule)
This ceramic Multifiber ferrule offers excellent heat resistance and can be customized with different hole designs and external dimensions. It can accommodate ultra-Multifiber ferrules of 36-Fiber or more, and is intended for use in applications such as CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) and OBO (On-Board Optics). - GrinEB® Connector
This is a non-contact, Multifiber connector using a magnified beam method with SELFOC® lenses developed by Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. It supports Single-mode and Multimode and is intended for use in harsh environments such as immersion cooling systems and aerospace/industrial applications.

Lecture on multifiber optical connector connectivity technology for CPOs
At COMNEXT 2026, in addition to exhibiting, Motohito Takezaki from Hakusan will give a lecture on the topic of **" multifiber optical connector connection technology for Co-Packaged Optics"**. With the spread of AI/ML, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) is attracting attention as a high-density optical circuit implementation technology that realizes large capacity, high-speed communication, low power consumption, and low latency.
This presentation will focus on multifiber optical connector connector connection technologies, which are increasingly being applied to CPO (Concentrated Point of Operation) systems, and will introduce the latest trends.
