The 1st COMNEXT was held from June 28th (Wednesday) to June 30th (Friday), 2023 at the "Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall".
Hakusan Inc. exhibited optical connection parts, information communication equipment, and research and development products.

What is COMNEXT?

COMNEXT is an international business negotiation exhibition that attracts visitors from all over the world seeking communication technology and systems, reborn from Communications & Broadcasting Week (Optical Communication Technology Exhibition - FOE and other 4 exhibitions).
Many products and technologies such as 5G/6G communication technology/materials, communication solutions, optical communication technology, and video transmission/8K technology were exhibited. This year was the first time it was held.

State of the exhibition

The total number of visitors to COMNEXT (cbw-expo.jp) was about 14,000.
Among them, more than 400 people visited Hakusan booth.
Since the spread of the coronavirus has calmed down, many people from overseas, mainly from Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and India, have come to see the show.

At the booth, there was a lot of interest in small Multifiber connectors (MTCT ® connectors) and reflow-resistant connection parts (MTHR ®/CMF ®).
Recently, due to the increase in data traffic volume, the number of new data centers is increasing, and the demand for optical communication is increasing.
As a result, there is a demand for optical connectors with higher density (that can connect more optical fibers), and compact connectors have attracted attention.

In addition, the area of optical communication is gradually expanding, and when approaching the area of telecommunications, there are places where light and electricity fuse. There is a demand for parts with heat resistance).
I think the reason why both of them attracted so much attention was that they were development products that were in line with the times.

In addition, the wide range of products handled by Hakusan, as well as products that support the social infrastructure field, such as Waste-Heat power generation units, dissimilar metal bonding products, and UPS, attracted attention.

In addition, there were many opportunities to talk for a long time at the booth, such as efforts related to the IOWN concept, which considers "next-generation communication technology," and the keyword "Photonics-Electronics-Convergence."

State of the exhibition

At the exhibition, many people were interested in our products and research content, regardless of whether they were from Japan or overseas.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth.

Hakusan Inc. is planning to exhibit at COMNEXT next year as well.
(Date: June 26-28, 2024, Venue: Tokyo Big Sight)
At the exhibition this time (2023), we also exhibited developed products that are not posted on the website.
