The impact of the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake on the Ishikawa Factory

We would like to express our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, and pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.

We would like to inform all of you about the current status of Hakusan Inc. (January 5, 2024).

We would like to inform you that the Ishikawa factory located in Shiga-cho, Hakui-gun, near the epicenter of the earthquake, has been affected by the earthquake.
As lifelines have not yet been restored and there is no prospect of resuming operations, there may be a delay in the supply of the following products.

Products affected:
(1) Optical connection parts
・Standard MT Ferrule (12/16/24/32 Fiber)
・MTCOMPACT® series for Multimode
・Standard connector connection parts
・Other general optical cord related matters

(2) Environmental energy products
・General UPS products (LiB-036MS/LiB-360N/LiB-1000N, etc.)
・General SPD products (Surge Pro, JB series, etc.)
・General lightning protection products (Thundercut, etc.)
・We are currently confirming the impact on other products, as the impact is wide-ranging.

On the other hand, the following products can be handled at other locations, and we have determined that there will be no impact from the earthquake at this time.

・Super Multifiber MT Ferrule (32/36/48 Fiber)
・Reflow resistant MT Ferrule (MTHR®)
・MT Ferrule for small diameter fiber (12/16MT-PA-SLS-80µm)

・Other special clips, custom products, etc.

(2) Special products
・ Upset Butt Welder
・ Rail Gas Pressure Welder

(3) Thermoelectric development products
・ Minor-metal-free Thermoelectric module (MagSino®)
・ Waste-Heat power generation unit (SteamBattery®)
