Hakusan Inc. will increase its production capacity for optical communication components, "MT Ferrule," by approximately 30% to meet the expanding demand for data centers due to the spread of AI.
In line with this, the company plans to invest approximately 200 million yen in equipment expansion at its Ishikawa Plant and strengthen its production system by April 2026.
Hakusan 's strength lies in the technology to connect optical fibers with high precision, and it possesses processing technology that can reduce errors that occur during connection to less than 1 micrometer.
In data centers, there is a demand to connect more optical fibers in a limited space, so we are focusing on mass production of MT Ferrule that support miniaturization and higher density.
Going forward, we will continue to differentiate ourselves in fields that require even higher levels of technological expertise, while continuing to invest in capital and conduct research and development, and contribute to the development of high-speed, high-capacity communications infrastructure worldwide.
