グローバル市場への挑戦を加速

Hakusan Inc. (headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) will exhibit for the first time at CIOE (Shenzhen, China) and ECOC (Copenhagen, Denmark), two of the world's three major exhibitions for the optical communications industry, to be held in 2025. Having also participated for the first time in OFC 2025, held in the United States in April of this year, this consecutive appearance at these exhibitions will accelerate the strengthening of its presence in the three major markets of the United States, China, and Europe. At its exhibition booth, the company will showcase the latest technologies that support optical communications infrastructure, such as next-generation MT Ferrule and high-density optical connectors, with the aim of increasing awareness in the global market and creating new business opportunities.

Exhibition Overview

Hakusan Inc., Ltd. will be exhibiting at CIOE2025 (Shenzhen, China) and ECOC2025 (Copenhagen, Denmark), both of which will be held in September 2025. These are considered to be the world's three largest exhibitions in the optical communications industry, alongside OFC in the United States, and this year will be the first time that the company will exhibit at all of them.

■ CIOE2025(China International Optoelectronic Exposition)

  • Date: September 10th (Wednesday) to September 12th (Friday), 2025
  • Venue: Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Shenzhen, China)
  • Booth number: 9B138 (HALL 9)
  • Exhibition Features: One of the world's largest comprehensive optoelectronics exhibitions. Covering eight fields including information and communications, precision optics, lasers, infrared, sensing, displays, and AR/VR, over 3,800 companies from over 30 countries exhibited. It is Asia's largest business hub, bringing together the latest technologies and trends in the industry.

■ ECOC2025(European Conference on Optical Communication)

  • Date: September 29th (Monday) to October 1st (Wednesday), 2025
  • Venue: Bella Centre (Copenhagen, Denmark)
  • Booth number: E1204 (HALL E)
  • Exhibition Features: Europe's largest exhibition on optical communications technology. It brings together the latest technologies in optical fiber communications, network equipment, photonic integrated circuits, and more. Specialist sessions such as "Market Focus" and "Product Focus" are also held, bringing together industry leaders, and the exhibition is highly regarded as a forum for sharing knowledge and conducting business negotiations.

Purpose of the exhibit

Hakusan Inc., Ltd. has decided to exhibit at CIOE2025 and ECOC2025 for the first time in order to widely disseminate its technological and product capabilities in the optical communications field to the global market and increase its global presence. Furthermore, at OFC 2025, where the company exhibited in April this year, the company received a great deal of interest and positive feedback from many visitors, and based on this success, it has been decided that the company will also exhibit at OFC in 2026. This exhibition is not just a product introduction, but an important step in building the brand and deepening market understanding in a real setting as part of Hakusan 's global strategy. By exhibiting in the three major markets of the United States, China, and Europe in succession, Hakusan will further increase its presence in the global optical communications industry.

■Challenges in the Chinese market: CIOE2025

CIOE, held in Shenzhen, China, is one of the world's largest exhibitions, bringing together over 3,800 optical-related companies. As Hakusan 's first exhibit, the company will participate in the event with the smallest booth size (9m2), and will use dialogue with local customers to determine future product development and exhibition strategies. Hakusan sees this as a valuable opportunity to directly demonstrate its technological superiority in the highly competitive Chinese market.

■ Approaching the European market: ECOC2025

ECOC, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, is Europe's largest exhibition of optical communication technology. Given that multifiber optical connector manufacturers are not yet well known in the European market, Hakusan aims to penetrate the brand and technical capabilities ahead of the competition. This will be the perfect timing for Hakusan to gain market recognition, as compared to OFC, there are fewer Chinese ferrule manufacturers exhibiting and competition is more limited. As this will also be our first time exhibiting, we will conduct on-the-ground research to increase our contacts with European customers through our booth size (12 m2) and utilize this information in our strategies for the next fiscal year and beyond.

Exhibition contents

At the Hakusan booth, we will be showcasing the latest optical connector technologies that support the evolution of optical communication infrastructure. In particular, we will be showcasing innovative developments that meet the needs of the industry, focusing on next-generation MT Ferrule and solutions for Photonics-Electronics-Convergence technology and CPO.

Next-generation MT Ferrule

To accommodate the ever-increasing density and miniaturization of optical communication networks, Hakusan will be exhibiting the following advanced MT Ferrule.

  • Reduced cladding MT Ferrule: MT Ferrule for reduced cladding φ80
  • Narrow-Pitch MT Ferrule (MTDS®): High-density MT Ferrule with a fiber pitch of 125/127μm, compatible with reduced cladding φ80μm.
  • MTCOMPACT® Series: Hakusan 's ultra-compact MT Ferrule

Photonics-Electronics-Convergence technology and CPO solutions

Aiming to realize the IOWN concept proposed by NTT, we will exhibit solutions that contribute to Photonics-Electronics-Convergence technology, which is advancing the fusion of light and electricity.

  • Reflow-resistant MT Ferrule (MTHR®): MT Ferrule made from materials that can withstand the high-temperature reflow process.
  • Ceramic Multifiber ferrule (CMF®): A ceramic Multifiber ferrule that can be customized for fiber count, fiber pitch, etc.
